Aznil set to move on from AF5

Aznil Hj Nawawi announced that the fifth season of the competition would be his last during the eighth weekly AF5 concert on Saturday.

Broadcast live over Astro Ria at 9pm, it was held at the Petaling Jaya Civic Centre.

Thanking Astro and fans of the show for giving his career a major boost, Aznil said: "I’ve enjoyed myself greatly these five years as the presenter of a wonderful programme.

"While I’m sad to leave, I believe it is time to move on. I promise to be back with more exciting projects on the big and small screen."
Aznil, a Universiti Malaya economics graduate, first found fame in the early 1990s as the host of TV3 entertainment quiz show, Pop Kuiz, and other shows.

He is also a talented singer and actor and has won numerous entertainment awards.
